Lindsay Corporation is seeking an experienced Lead Assembler to join the Olathe, KS production team overseeing 2nd shift production.  The Lead Assembler is responsible for being the go-to person for Assembler personnel and training new employees.  This role will work with 1st shift department Supervisors in coordinating daily tasks assignments and will ensure assignments are performed accurately by all Assemblers.  This position reports directly to the Electronic Manufacturing Manager.  If you are looking for a climate control environment with a great work schedule this could be the role for you.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for all daily activities regarding management and accountability for the 2nd Shift
  • Participate as an active member of the 2nd Shift team
  • Provide timely day to day guidance of resource management and rapid problem solving to maximize department performance
  • Direct team members to move assemblies to subsequent departments and make movements, ensuring a smooth flow of the production process
  • Work with supervisor and managers to prioritize job assignments to ensure the production schedule is met
  • Assist in training employees to ensure procedures and quality requirements are met
  • Work with support staff to resolve issues
  • Follow documented policies and procedures as designated by the company’s Quality System
  • Follow detailed assembly instructions, processes and procedures
  • Complete required documentation relating to business
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area to facilitate manufacturing functions
  • Serve as a positive role model and change agent to support company initiatives

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2 to 4 years of Electronic manufacturing experience
  • 1+ years of experience in a Lead role
  • Ability to lead and train
  • Strong communication skills
  • Quick learner with ability to retain information
  • Detailed oriented
